Welcome

The Bellefonte Area Chamber of Commerce was established in 1938 to promote the economic benefit of its members and the development of business in the Bellefonte area. Its service area was later expanded to include the Intervalley Area and now includes Bellefonte, Howard, and Milesburg Borough and the townships of Boggs, Curtin, Howard, Liberty, Benner, Marion, Spring, and Walker. Our membership is comprised of both small and large businesses located throughout Centre County who rely on the Chamber to provide economic development assistance, cooperative marketing opportunities, business promotions, referrals, and health insurance programs. In addition, the Chamber provides advocacy for its members and works closely with local community groups in helping to plan and promote activities which are geared at economic revitalization and development.

Located in the historic Train Station in beautiful Talleyrand Park, the Chamber is a valuable asset to the Bellefonte Intervalley area. JazzPA
In July Bellefonte hosted a new event, The Columbia Gas 2008 SUMMER JAZZ CELEBRATION, a fabulous day of jazz in Bellefonte. JazzPA director, Catherine Dupuis, contacted the Chamber in early spring about holding a jazz concert on the diamond, in Talleyrand Park and at the Garman Opera House. The performers included the Bellefonte High School Jazz Band, professional musicians from throughout the country and amateur performers from the State College and Bellefonte areas. Through the efforts of Catherine Dupuis, the JazzPA Board of Directors, volunteers, and sponsorships from Columbia Gas and Nittany Bank, the concert was a tremendous success! The Chamber hopes that JazzPA continues to call Bellefonte home!

Free Wifi in the Park

Talleyrand Park has wireless internet service. You can now enjoy the serenity of the Park, visit the ducks and surf the Web.

"Save Our Station" Campaign succeeding
The Save Our Station fundraising campaign is a success. The funds have been used for building renovations and rehabilitation of the termite damage. Bob The Painter completed the exterior painting. Polar Blast cleaned the bricks on the building and Mark Russo washed all the windows and doors. The inside of the building has been repainted, the woodwork and floors refinished. Rex Mattern of Triangle Building and Supply designed and built custom interior storm windows for the large windows. Chris Berenty upgraded the electric service. The building has been given a beautiful facelift. Thank you to all those who contributed money and services to save this historic train station for our community.
